How to terminate a water contract?

To cancel the contract, the customer must provide the installation details, including the meter reading, and the customer's personal details, such as the Identity Card and the Taxpayer Number. If someone else is canceling the contract, the contract holder must issue a declaration allowing that person to make the request.

How can I report the meter reading?

You should report the reading through the following means:

By email to leituras.agere.pt.

What is required to set up/cancel direct debit?

To set up direct debit, complete the form..

AGERE also provides the option to make changes or cancel by sending an email (apoiocliente@agere.pt) or letter.

What is required to request a water meter?

To request a water meter, the following documents are required:

Residential (housing)

– Rental Contract (original and registered with the tax authorities), Deed, or Purchase/Sale Certificate;
– Meter reading (if a meter is already present on the premises);
– Tax Identification Number (copy);
– ID card;
– Contract Costs – Check the Tariff Schedule;

Non-Residential (commerce, industry, and services)

– Rental Contract (original and registered with the tax authorities), Deed, or Purchase/Sale Certificate;
– Permanent Certificate;
– Proof of the area (m²) of the premises for waste tariff calculation purposes (copy of the Property Registry, Model 1, Usage License, etc.);
– Tax Identification Number (copy);
– Meter reading (if a meter is already present on the premises);
– Contract Costs – Check the Tariff Schedule;

Construction (building construction)

– Construction License;
– Company Deed (copy), if it is a legal entity;
– ID card;
– Tax Identification Number (copy);
– Meter reading (if a meter is already present on the premises);
– Contract Costs – Check the Tariff Schedule;
– Installation Costs of the Supply Connection – Check the Tariff Schedule.

*The presence of the account holder is required, or the submission of the authorization form we provide, duly completed (the form can be obtained at AGERE's premises or through the form.). For companies, the authorization must be signed, stamped, and accompanied by a copy of the company deed.
