The delivery ceremony took place in Palmeira and was attended by the Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, the AGERE Board of Directors, and the Presidents of the covered parishes. During the event, Alexandra Roeger, President of AGERE’s Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of this initiative for improving urban cleaning services and enhancing public spaces. She also highlighted that investing in electric vehicles is a key priority for AGERE within its decarbonization strategy. Since introducing its first electric equipment in 2018, the company has continuously invested in innovative technologies, progressively expanding the geographical coverage of these sustainable solutions.
Currently, AGERE's electric fleet comprises 40 units, with an investment of €1.3 million, and an additional €1.2 million is planned by 2027.
With these new sweepers now operating in the designated parishes, AGERE aims to improve service quality for local communities while also ensuring better working conditions for urban cleaning teams. This initiative reinforces AGERE’s mission to provide a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment for all residents of Braga.
