To mark World Water Day, AGERE has launched the "United for a Cause" solidarity campaign in support of UNICEF. This initiative promotes the adoption of AGERE's electronic billing and direct debit services, where, for each joint subscription to these services, UNICEF can ensure safe water for three people for an entire year.
Thus, this campaign, whose mission is "to promote the defense of children's rights, especially the most vulnerable, helping to meet their basic needs and contributing to their full development,"will enable AGERE to help families in humanitarian risk regions have access to safe water.
In addition to its important social aspect, the "United for a Cause" campaign is also a commitment to environmental sustainability.
AGERE's Chairman of the Board, Rui Sá Morais, expressed pride in launching this campaign, as it "reinforces our role as a socially responsible company. Each joint subscription to electronic billing and direct debit represents a step in the right direction and will allow us to make a difference in the lives of many people around the world."
Rui Sá Morais also emphasized that the chosen day for launching the campaign, World Water Day, "was not by chance and is a call to action and an opportunity for the Braga community to unite for a greater cause, recognizing the vital importance of water and our responsibility to bring it to those who need it most."
The Executive Director of UNICEF Portugal, Beatriz Imperatori, also attended the campaign launch session and stated: "We are excited about this partnership between UNICEF Portugal and AGERE, which represents an important commitment to promoting access to clean water, a fundamental human right often neglected. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable children and families, while we work together to preserve our environment. We believe that together we can provide a healthier and more sustainable future for all children."
AGERE calls for the active participation of the Braga community in this campaign, noting that each joint subscription to electronic billing and direct debit will significantly contribute to supporting children and families in emergency situations through collaboration with UNICEF.
