AGERE will maintain the tariffs and prices of its services for all users, both domestic and non-domestic, throughout 2025.
This decision reflects AGERE's ongoing effort to ensure tariff stability, even in the face of inflationary pressures in recent years. While the Consumer Price Index registered significant variations—7.8% in 2022 and 4.3% in 2023—residents of Braga continue to benefit from real savings on their bills, reinforcing the company's policy of freezing tariffs.
AGERE remains committed to this approach without compromising investments in infrastructure, its maintenance, conservation, and necessary replacements. Additionally, the company reaffirms its objective of promoting the rational and moderate use of water, an essential resource for environmental preservation.
Over the past years, the tariff freeze has been complemented by measures aimed at ensuring fairer access to services, such as the expansion of the family water tariff, modifications to the social tariff, and specific reductions for charitable institutions (IPSS), Parish Councils, and sports associations.
Among these measures, the expansion of the family water tariff stands out, now benefiting all households with five or more people, representing a 40% reduction in the portion related to water consumption. The social tariff has also been extended, allowing more residents of Braga to access this benefit. Additionally, IPSS organizations benefit from a 12.5% reduction, Parish Councils from a 20% reduction, and sports associations receive, on average, a 7% discount on water service tariffs following adjustments in the pricing brackets.
However, mandatory updates to state-imposed fees will be reflected in monthly invoices. The Waste Management Fee (TGR), which was €30/ton in 2024, will increase to €35/ton in 2025. Likewise, the Water Resources Fee (TRH), applicable to water and sanitation services, will also be updated, with these changes detailed in the "Payments to the State" section of the invoices.
AGERE reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality, accessible, and sustainable services, balancing community needs with resource conservation and the continuity of necessary investments.
