AGERE recently conducted a drill at the Montariol reservoir as part of its Water Safety Plan. The purpose was to assess the response of internal and subcontracted teams, measure reaction times, and verify compliance with established procedures.
The drill was treated as a real-life event by employees and service providers, who were unaware of its occurrence beforehand. This approach ensured the authenticity of the response evaluation in a real-world scenario. The initiative was closely monitored by AGERE's Board of Directors.
Simulated scenarios included unauthorized access to the reservoir, intrusion into the facility, and acts of vandalism targeting electrical and control systems.
All actions were carefully controlled, aiming to evaluate team responses and capabilities. The drill demonstrated the readiness of the teams to handle such incidents and identified areas for improvement.
