TAP WATER ON BOARD - BRAGA’S PUBLIC TRANSPORT

1, Oct 24 | Updates

On National Water Day, AGERE, in partnership with the Braga Urban Transport (TUB), carried out an awareness campaign highlighting the importance of consuming tap water, a safe, economical choice that is key to reducing plastic use.

Tap water is a high-quality option that, besides being rigorously controlled, contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing bottled water consumption and, consequently, plastic production. Thus, on October 1st, National Water Day, passengers on Braga's public buses were greeted by AGERE water carriers, who distributed 100% safe tap water in reusable bottles to all users.

Through this water distribution, AGERE raised awareness among Braga’s citizens about the rational consumption of water and highlighted the impact of their choices on the future of water resources. Tap water, in addition to being safe, is an accessible resource that promotes more efficient environmental management.

The initiative also emphasized the importance of partnerships between local entities to encourage the adoption of more eco-friendly and cost-effective choices in daily life.

Water distribution took place at various bus stops throughout the city of Braga, across different lines offered by TUB, during the morning hours when passenger flow was at its peak.
