Alexandra Roeger has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors at AGERE, succeeding Rui Sá Morais. She takes on the leadership role with a commitment to upholding the company's excellence in environmental and urban management.

My commitment is to further strengthen AGERE's role as a benchmark in innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement of public services," she stated.
With a distinguished academic and professional background, Alexandra Roeger brings a strong strategic vision and extensive experience in environmental management, public administration, and public policy. A native of Braga, she holds a degree in Biological Engineering – Environmental Branch from the University of Minho. Her academic journey also includes two master’s degrees – one in Environment and the other in Public Administration and Management – and a doctorate in Administrative Sciences, completed in 2021, with a thesis on public policies in the water sector.
Her professional career began as a researcher at the University of Minho, followed by experience in the private sector with the SONAE Group before transitioning to public administration. Since 1996, she has held prominent positions with the Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Esposende, Esposende City Council, and the municipal company Esposende Ambiente, where she became Chair of the Board of Directors in 2010.
In recent years, Alexandra served as Vice-President of Esposende City Council, overseeing areas such as Environment and Energy, Civil Protection, Social Cohesion, Culture, Health, Education, Animal Welfare, and Administrative Modernization. She also held significant roles in organizations such as the Esposende CPCJ, Zendensino, and Esposende Solidário.
