AGERE continues to strengthen its commitment to the continuous improvement of the services it provides by consolidating its Integrated Management System and adopting best practices in the areas of quality, environmental management, occupational health and safety, and people development. This commitment has once again been recognised through the latest external audit conducted by AENOR, which confirmed the renewal of the company's existing certifications: ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
The audit concluded that the Integrated Management System is effectively implemented and complies with all applicable regulatory, legal, statutory and internal requirements, demonstrating its ability to achieve the organisation's objectives while driving continuous improvement. No non-conformities were identified, once again confirming the maturity, robustness and consistency of AGERE's Integrated Management System.
More than a formal recognition, the renewal of these certifications confirms AGERE's ability to meet the requirements of internationally recognised standards while ensuring high levels of quality, efficiency and sustainability in the delivery of its services.
Work-Life Balance Is One of the Board's Priorities
AGERE's organisational development strategy goes beyond certification. The company has been strengthening a management model based on continuous improvement, process optimisation and the development of its people. By integrating different management standards, AGERE aims to enhance organisational efficiency, continuously develop its teams and create the best conditions to respond to the growing challenges of delivering high-quality public services.
Within this framework, promoting a healthy balance between professional, family and personal life is one of the Board of Directors' key priorities. To this end, AGERE is currently pursuing certification under NP 4552 – Management System for Work-Life Balance, further reinforcing its commitment to recognising people as a fundamental driver of quality, innovation and organisational sustainability.
Although many of the associated practices have been part of the company's culture for several years, certification will allow them to be incorporated into a structured management system focused on continuous improvement.
Among the initiatives already in place are an on-site canteen offering affordable meals, access to psychology, nutrition, podiatry and physiotherapy consultations, as well as a welcome kit provided to employees upon the birth of a child.
At the same time, new measures continue to be introduced to further support employees in balancing their professional, family and personal lives.
Once the certification process is completed, NP 4552 will become part of AGERE's Integrated Management System, alongside quality, environmental management and occupational health and safety. This integration will further strengthen the company's holistic approach to management, promoting more efficient processes, highly qualified teams and an organisational culture built on responsibility, continuous improvement and the appreciation of people.
AGERE's Board of Directors remains firmly committed to maintaining a high-quality working environment and promoting the well-being of all employees, convinced that investing in people is essential both to retaining talent and attracting increasingly qualified professionals.
Excellence in public service is built every day by the people who deliver it. Investing in increasingly demanding management systems also means investing in employees' professional development, improving their working conditions and promoting their overall well-being.
The integration of NP 4552 represents another important milestone in this journey. Together with the certifications already achieved in quality, environmental management and occupational health and safety, it reinforces an integrated organisational vision in which efficient processes, skilled teams and employees' quality of life contribute to delivering services that are increasingly effective, sustainable and responsive to the needs of the people of Braga.
"Certifications are not an end in themselves. They are tools that enable us to work better, serve better and take better care of people. We want AGERE to become increasingly efficient, innovative and people-centred, because we know that the quality of the services we provide to the people of Braga begins with the quality of our organisation and the conditions we offer our employees."
President of the Board of Directors of AGERE, João Granja
